Tilia tuan, described by Szyszyl. in 1890, is a flowering plant species in the Malvaceae family. It is native to central and southeastern China, including Guangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Zhejiang, as well as Vietnam. It grows in forests at elevations between 1200 and 2400 meters. The species is known for its variability and has many synonyms, with three recognized varieties.

Description

Tilia tuan is a species of the genus Tilia in the Malvaceae family. It is distributed across several Chinese provinces and Vietnam, typically in forested areas between 1200 and 2400 meters in elevation. The species was first described by Henry in 1888 and later formally named by Szyszyl. in 1890. Due to its high variability, it has accumulated numerous synonyms, and currently, three varieties are recognized within the species.
