Tilia nobilis, the noble lime, is a flowering plant in the family Malvaceae, native to south-central China. It is an octoploid tree that grows 4 to 12 m tall, found in forests at elevations of 1,800 to 2,500 m. It is characterized by large leaves and floral bracts and is occasionally available from specialty nurseries.

Description

Tilia nobilis, described by Rehder & E.H. Wilson in 1915, is a species in the genus Tilia. It is distributed in south-central and southeast China. The tree is notable for its large leaves and floral bracts and is adapted to high elevation forest habitats.
