Tilia dasystyla is a deciduous lime tree species in the genus Tilia, family Malvaceae. It is native to regions including Armenia, Iran, Crimea, the North Caucasus, the Transcaucasus, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The species was first described in 1832 by Steven. It includes two subspecies: T. dasystyla subsp. caucasica, found in northern Iran, northern and western Turkey, the Caucasus, and Crimea, and T. dasystyla subsp. dasystyla, restricted to Crimea.

Description

Tilia dasystyla is a member of the Malvaceae family and is part of the genus Tilia, which includes various lime or linden trees. It is a deciduous species with a distribution across several regions in the Middle East and the Caucasus. The subspecies T. dasystyla subsp. caucasica occurs in northern Iran, northern and western Turkey, the Caucasus, and Crimea, while T. dasystyla subsp. dasystyla is found specifically in Crimea. The species was first published in 1832 by the botanist Steven.
