Mollugo cerviana is a flowering plant species in the Molluginaceae family. It is commonly known as threadstem carpetweed and is found as a weed in dry, sandy habitats across most continents. This annual herb has a thin, erect stem up to 20 centimeters tall, with narrow, waxy, linear leaves up to 1.5 centimeters long arranged in whorls.

Description

Mollugo cerviana produces a loose umbel of small flowers, each with whitish, petal-like sepals under 2 millimeters long and no true petals. The species was first described in 1824 and is adapted to a wide range of arid environments. It is a low-growing plant that forms a carpet-like appearance in disturbed or sandy soils.
