Thismia megalongensis is a species in the Burmanniaceae family, native to New South Wales. It was first described in 2014 based on a specimen from the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains region.

Description

Thismia megalongensis is a rare flowering plant species in the Burmanniaceae family. It is endemic to the Blue Mountains region, located west of Sydney, in New South Wales. The species was formally described in 2014 from a plant collected in the Megalong Valley. It is part of the genus Thismia, which includes other small, often mycoheterotrophic plants. The species is seldom observed in the wild.
