Trillium texanum, known as Texas wakerobin, is a flowering plant in the Melanthiaceae family. It is native to east Texas, extreme southwestern Arkansas, and extreme northwestern Louisiana. Its restricted distribution has led to its classification as a vulnerable species.

Description

Trillium texanum was described by Buckley in 1861 and belongs to the genus Trillium. This plant is part of the Melanthiaceae family, also known as the birthwort family. It is commonly called Texas wakerobin in English. Its geographic range is limited, which has raised conservation concerns.
