Tetratheca hirsuta is a small shrub in the Elaeocarpaceae family, native to the south-west of Western Australia. It is commonly known as black-eyed Susan, though it is unrelated to other plants with the same name in other regions.

Description

Tetratheca hirsuta, described by Lindl. in 1839, is a member of the genus Tetratheca. It is endemic to Western Australia and is distinguished by its common name, black-eyed Susan, despite not being botanically related to other species known by the same name globally. This shrub is part of the Elaeocarpaceae family, a group of flowering plants primarily found in the Southern Hemisphere.
