Wilkiea pubescens is a flowering plant in the family Monimiaceae, native to north Queensland. It is a shrub or small tree with elliptic leaves and separate male and female flowers. Male flowers have 6 tepals and 2 or 3 pairs of stamens, while female flowers have 2 pairs of tepals and 15 to 30 carpels. The fruit is a purplish-black drupe.

Description

Wilkiea pubescens is a species in the genus Wilkiea, part of the Monimiaceae family. It is found only in Queensland, where it grows as a shrub or small tree. The leaves are elliptic in shape. The plant has unisexual flowers, with male flowers featuring 6 tepals and 2 or 3 pairs of stamens, and female flowers with 2 pairs of tepals and 15 to 30 carpels. The fruit is a drupe that turns purplish-black when mature. The species was published in 2007.
