Tartar Maple

Acer tataricum, known as Tatar Maple or Tatarian Maple, is a species of maple native to central and southeastern Europe and temperate Asia. It is also found in parts of eastern Asia, including northern and central China, Japan, and the Russian Far East. The name is sometimes misspelled as 'Tartar' or 'Tartarian' in English.
Description
Acer tataricum is a member of the Sapindaceae family and is distributed across regions including Austria, Turkey, and the Tatar-inhabited areas of southern Russia. It has a disjunct population in eastern Asia. The species was first described in 1753 and is found in various locations such as Denmark, Sweden, the United States, and several European countries. It is commonly referred to as Tatar Maple.
