Symphyotrichum praealtum (Poir.) G.L.Nesom is a member of the Asteraceae family, commonly known as Tall Aster. It is native to North America and has been introduced to Europe. The species was published in 1995.

Description

Symphyotrichum praealtum, also called willowleaf aster or willow aster, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae (daisy or sunflower) family. It is found in various regions across North America, including the United States and parts of Mexico, as well as in Czechoslovakia. Its distribution includes states such as Vermont, Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia. The species was formally described in 1995.
