Tacca cristata

Tacca cristata is a member of the Dioscoreaceae family and is native to the region of Malaya. It was scientifically described by Jack in 1820. This species belongs to the genus Tacca, which is part of the yam family. It is related to Tacca integrifolia, a similar species found in tropical and subtropical rainforests of South Asia, including regions such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, and eastern China.
