Tabebuia stenocalyx is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to northeastern and southeastern Brazil, as well as parts of northern South America including French Guiana, Guyana, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela. It was first described in 1910 by Sprague and Stapf.

Description

This species belongs to the genus Tabebuia, which is known for its flowering trees and shrubs. Tabebuia stenocalyx is part of a broader distribution range that includes several tropical regions of South America. The species is recognized within the Bignoniaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly referred to as the bignonias or trumpet-vine family. Its scientific name was formally published in 1910 by the botanists Sprague and Stapf.
