Tabebuia elliptica is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to Brazil. It is found in the Northeast and Southeast regions of the country and has a broader global distribution. The species was first described in 1937 by Sandwith, based on earlier work by DC.

Description

Tabebuia elliptica belongs to the genus Tabebuia and is part of the Bignoniaceae family, commonly known as the Bignonia family. It is primarily distributed in Brazil, particularly in the Northeast and Southeast regions. Beyond its native range, the species has also been recorded in other parts of the world. The scientific name was formally published in 1937 by Sandwith, building on the original work attributed to DC. This species is recognized for its presence in tropical and subtropical environments, where it contributes to local biodiversity.
