Description
Symphyotrichum glabrifolium (DC.) G.L.Nesom is a member of the Asteraceae family and is found in the Northwest and South of Argentina as well as in Central and South Chile. It is a herbaceous perennial that typically grows between 5 and 25 centimeters in height. The plant's flowers are characterized by white or lilac-colored ray florets and yellow disk florets. It is adapted to wetland environments such as meadows and stream banks. The species was formally described in 1995.
