Protea montana, or Swartberg Sugarbush, is a flowering plant in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa and is part of the genus Protea.

Protea montana, also known as Swartberg Sugarbush, is a species of flowering plant in the family Proteaceae. It is endemic to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa. The species was described in 1856 and is part of the Protea genus. In Afrikaans, it is referred to as swartbergsuikerbos. The plant is found within the Cape Provinces and has a global distribution.
