Philadelphus hirsutus, known as streambank mock orange, is a species in the Hydrangeaceae family. It was first described in 1818 by Nutt. This shrub is native to the southeastern United States, occurring in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Description

Philadelphus hirsutus is a member of the genus Philadelphus, which belongs to the Hydrangeaceae family. It is commonly referred to as streambank mock orange in English. The species was first formally described in 1818 by the botanist Nutt.
