Sticherus owhyhensis is a species in the family Gleicheniaceae, native to Oceania and Hawaii. It was first described in 1940 by Ching, based on earlier work by Hook.

Description

Sticherus owhyhensis is a member of the Gleicheniaceae, a family of ferns commonly known as the holly fern family. The species is part of the genus Sticherus, which includes several fern species with similar morphological traits. This fern is naturally distributed across Oceania and the Hawaiian archipelago. The scientific name was published in 1940 by Ching, who revised and formalized the classification based on earlier observations by Hook.
