Calystegia stebbinsii, known as Stebbins' false bindweed, is a species in the Convolvulaceae family. It is native to California and was described by Brummitt in 1974. This plant is found only in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in El Dorado and Nevada Counties, where it grows in chaparral on gabbro soils. It is listed as an endangered species in the United States.

Description

Calystegia stebbinsii is a rare morning glory species endemic to specific regions of California. Its distribution is limited to two locations in the Sierra Nevada foothills, where it is adapted to chaparral environments on gabbro soil. Due to its restricted range and habitat specificity, it is classified as federally endangered. The species was first published in 1974 by Brummitt.
