Juniperus standleyi, known as Standley juniper, is a species of the genus Juniperus in the family Cupressaceae. It is native to Guatemala and the extreme southeast of Mexico, growing at elevations between 3,000 and 4,250 meters. Local common names for this species include huitó, ciprés, and huitum.

Description

Juniperus standleyi was described by Steyerm. and published in 1943. It is distributed globally but is indigenous to the high-altitude regions of Guatemala and the extreme southeast of Mexico. This juniper species is adapted to mountainous environments and is part of the Cupressaceae family, which includes cypresses and other related conifers.
