Staavia dodii is a perennial flowering shrub native to the Western Cape of South Africa. It is a member of the Bruniaceae family and is part of the fynbos vegetation. The species is restricted to the southernmost part of the Cape Peninsula, where it occurs in two subpopulations covering an area of only 25 km². Due to its limited range, it is regarded as rare.

Description

Staavia dodii, described by Bolus in 1899, is a member of the Staavia genus within the Bruniaceae family. It is endemic to the Western Cape and is found only in the southernmost part of the Cape Peninsula. The species is part of the fynbos biome and is known from two subpopulations. Its distribution is highly restricted, with a total range of 25 km², making it a rare plant.
