Mangifera zeylanica, known as the Sri Lankan mango, is a wild mango species native to Sri Lanka. It is the tallest species within the genus Mangifera and among the tallest in the Anacardiaceae family. The tree produces edible fruits with a good flavor. It is referred to as 'aetamba' or 'wal amba' in Sinhala and 'kaddu-ma' in Tamil.

Description

Mangifera zeylanica, described by Hook.f. in 1876, is a tall tree species native to Sri Lanka. It is the tallest in the genus Mangifera and one of the tallest in the Anacardiaceae family.
