It is found in North America and parts of Mexico, including states such as Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as in Mexico Central, Mexico Northeast, Mexico Southeast, and Mexico Southwest. This species was published in 1829 by Conrad.
