Rorippa sinuata, known as spread yellow cress, is a perennial herb in the Brassicaceae family. Native to North America, it grows in moist and wet habitats across the western and central United States and parts of Canada and Mexico. It was first described in 1894.

Description

Rorippa sinuata is a member of the Brassicaceae family and is commonly found in wet environments such as lakeshores, riverbanks, meadows, and mudflats. It has spreading stems up to 40–50 cm long and is densely hairy with sac-like hairs. The leaves can be up to 8 cm long and are deeply toothed, lobed, or divided. The plant produces an elongated raceme of tiny yellow flowers at the top of the stem. Its fruit is a curved silique that varies in size and shape and contains many small seeds.
