Description

Cyanea grimesiana is a member of the bellflower family, Campanulaceae, and is part of the Cyanea genus. It is known by the Hawaiian common name haha. The species is native to the islands of Oahu and Molokai, where it is critically rare, with only 12 documented occurrences. It was first described in 1829 by Gaudich. As an endangered species, it is protected under federal law in the United States.
