Leucadendron tinctum, the Spicy Conebush, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family, native to the Western Cape of South Africa. It is part of the fynbos vegetation and is found in the Hex River Mountains, Hottentots Holland Mountains, and Langeberg. The plant reaches a height of 1.3 m and flowers from July to August.

Description

Leucadendron tinctum is a species of flowering shrub in the genus Leucadendron. It is indigenous to the Western Cape region, where it is distributed across the Hex River Mountains, Hottentots Holland Mountains, and Langeberg. The shrub grows to a height of 1.3 meters and produces flowers between July and August. It is a member of the Proteaceae family and is part of the fynbos ecosystem. The species was first described in 1968 by I. Williams. Its common name, Spicy Conebush, reflects characteristics of its appearance or scent.
