Sorbus scalaris is a species of rowan in the Rosaceae family. It is native to western Sichuan and Yunnan in China, growing in mixed forests on mountain slopes at altitudes of 1600–3000 m. The plant is a shrub or small tree, reaching heights of 3–7 m.

Description

Sorbus scalaris, described by Koehne in 1913, is a member of the genus Sorbus within the Rosaceae family. It is found in western Sichuan and Yunnan, China, where it inhabits mountain slopes in mixed forests. This species typically grows between 1600 and 3000 meters in elevation. It is characterized as a shrub or small tree, with a height range of 3 to 7 meters.
