Sorbus reducta, known as the dwarf Chinese mountain ash, is a deciduous shrub in the Rosaceae family, native to western China. It grows to a height of 1.5 m and a width of 2 m. The plant is characterized by its compound leaves, each up to 10 cm long with up to 15 leaflets that turn red in autumn. It produces white flowers in spring and berries that change color from red or pink to white by autumn.

Description

Sorbus reducta is a spreading shrub native to South-Central China. It is a member of the Rosaceae family and was first described in 1912 by Diels. The shrub features dense foliage with compound leaves that display vibrant red autumn coloration. In spring, it bears white flowers, which are succeeded by berries that initially appear red or pink and later turn white. This species is adapted to temperate environments and is a part of the diverse Sorbus genus.
