Sorbus koehneana is a species of rowan in the Rosaceae family, native to central and southeast China and Qinghai. It grows in mountainous mixed forests or thickets at elevations between 2,300 and 4,000 meters. The species is named after Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne, a 19th-century German botanist.

Description

Sorbus koehneana is a mountain ash species with white fruits and is noted for the bright red autumn coloration of its leaves. It was first described in 1906 by C.K. Schneid. The plant's distribution includes regions in China such as North-Central, South-Central, and Southeast, as well as Qinghai. It is part of the genus Sorbus and is adapted to high-altitude environments.
