Sorbus harrowiana, known as Harrow rowan, is a small tree or shrub in the Rosaceae family. It is native to South-Central China, Myanmar, and Tibet. The species is recognized for its pinnately compound leaves, compound corymb inflorescences, and creamy-white to occasionally pink pomes. It is sometimes cultivated as an ornamental plant.

Description

Sorbus harrowiana is a small tree or shrub with greyish-brown stems and glabrous branchlets. The pinnately compound leaves are 15–25 cm long, with 5–7 oblong leaflets. The inflorescences are compound corymbs with 30–200 flowers, and the pomes are globose or ovoid-globose, 5–7 mm in diameter. The species has 2n = 34 chromosomes. It is found in South-Central China, Myanmar, and Tibet. Cultivated in parks and gardens for ornamental purposes, it is distinguished by its persistent stipules and specific leaflet dimensions and venation.
