Sorbus frutescens is a species of rowan native to Gansu province in China. It is a small tree that grows up to 2 m in height and is often confused with Sorbus koehneana. The species is characterized by its white fruit and dark green pinnate leaves, which change to red and bronze in the autumn.

Description

Sorbus frutescens belongs to the genus Sorbus and the family Rosaceae. It was first described in 2005 by McAll. This species is distinguished by its compact size and seasonal leaf coloration. The white fruit contrasts with the dark green foliage, which turns red and bronze in autumn. It is found only in Gansu province.
