Sonchus kirkii, known as New Zealand sow thistle or shore puha, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is native to coastal areas of New Zealand.

Description

Sonchus kirkii is a herb in the Asteraceae family, found in coastal regions of New Zealand. It belongs to the genus Sonchus and was first described by Hamlin in 1976. The species is endemic to the Chatham Islands.
