Gouania meyenii is a species of flowering plant in the Rhamnaceae family, commonly known as smoothfruit chewstick. It is endemic to the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Kauai, with an estimated 38 to 63 individuals remaining in the wild. The species is listed as endangered in the United States.

Description

Gouania meyenii, described by Steud. in 1840, is a member of the genus Gouania. It is known by the common name smoothfruit chewstick and is found only in Hawaii. The plant is critically rare, with very few individuals surviving in the wild. Conservation efforts are necessary due to its endangered status.
