Protea laevis R.Br. is a flowering shrub in the Proteaceae family. Commonly known as the Smooth-leaf Sugarbush, it is native to the Cape Provinces and has a global distribution. The species was first described in 1810.

Description

Protea laevis is a member of the genus Protea, characterized by its smooth leaves and showy inflorescences. It is part of the Proteaceae family, which includes a wide variety of flowering plants primarily found in the Southern Hemisphere. This species is native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa and has since been introduced to other regions around the world. Protea laevis was first scientifically described in 1810 by Robert Brown.
