Desmanthus leptophyllus is a species in the Fabaceae family, commonly known as slenderleaf bundleflower. It was first described in 1824 by Kunth. This plant is native to a wide range of regions, including parts of South America such as Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador, as well as Central America, the Caribbean, and the southeastern United States, particularly Florida.

Description

Desmanthus leptophyllus is a member of the Fabaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the legume or pea family. It is widely distributed across several countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Florida, Galápagos, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and Jamaica. It is also found in the Parque Nacional Natural Sumapaz and other regions in Colombia such as Bucaramanga, Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, La Guajira, Magdalena, and Santander. The species was first described in 1824 by Kunth.
