Englerophytum natalense, known as the silver-leaf milkplum, is an evergreen tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows in forested areas from East to South Africa. The tree has glossy to greyish green leaves above and silvery-haired surfaces below. Its bark is smooth, and young branches are hairy. The plant produces a milky latex.

Description

Englerophytum natalense is a medium-sized evergreen tree native to regions including Cape Provinces, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Leaves are alternately arranged or spiraled, with a dense appearance near branch tips. The stem is straight, and young branches are densely covered with brownish hairs. The species is characterized by the presence of milky latex. It was published in 1991 and is part of the genus Englerophytum.
