Larix griffithii, known as the Sikkim larch, is a larch species native to the eastern Himalayas. It is found in easternmost Nepal, India, western Bhutan, and southwestern China, growing at altitudes between 1,800 and 4,100 metres.

Description

Larix griffithii belongs to the genus Larix and the family Pinaceae. It was first described in 1854 by Hook.f. The species is distributed across the eastern Himalayas, including regions in China, Nepal, and Tibet. This larch thrives in high-altitude environments, typically between 1,800 and 4,100 metres above sea level.
