Solidago shortii, known as Short's goldenrod, is a species in the Asteraceae family. It is found in Kentucky and Indiana, with no known populations in Hungary or France. Listed as endangered in 1985, it received a G1 global rank in 2000.

Description

Solidago shortii, or Short's goldenrod, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is native to the Blue Licks Battlefield State Park in Kentucky and Harrison-Crawford State Forest in Indiana. Despite being cited as occurring in Hungary and France, no verified populations exist there. The species was listed as endangered in the United States on September 5, 1985, and classified with a global conservation rank of G1 (critically imperiled) on February 29, 2000. The species was first described in 1842 by Torr. & A.Gray.
