Solidago nitida, known as shiny goldenrod, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is native to the south-central United States, including Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. This species was first described in 1842 by Torr. & A.Gray.

Description

Solidago nitida is a plant species in the daisy family, Asteraceae. It occurs naturally in the southern Great Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley. The species is distributed across five U.S. states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. It is commonly referred to as shiny goldenrod in English.
