Gymnocoronis spilanthoides, known as the Senegal tea plant, is a species in the Asteraceae family. It was first described by Augustin Pyramus de Candolle in 1838. This plant is native to regions including Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, and Senegal, and has been introduced to other areas such as Hungary, Japan, and Australia.

Gymnocoronis spilanthoides belongs to the genus Gymnocoronis and is part of the Asteraceae family. It is commonly referred to as the Senegal tea plant.
