Secale strictum is a species in the genus Secale, belonging to the family Poaceae. It was first described in 1826 by C.Presl. This grass species is native to various regions across Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.

Description

Secale strictum is found in a wide range of locations, including Belgium, the Walloon Region, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon-Syria, Libya, Morocco, the North Caucasus, Pakistan, Romania, Sicilia, Spain, the Transcaucasus, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. As a member of the Poaceae family, it is a grass species that contributes to the biodiversity of its native habitats. The species was published in 1826 by C.Presl, who also provided its authorship.
