Limnanthes vinculans Ornduff

Limnanthes vinculans, known as Sebastopol meadowfoam, is an endangered species native to California. It is found only in the Laguna de Santa Rosa in Sonoma County and in the Americano Creek and Washoe Creek watersheds to the south. The species was first described in 1969 by Ornduff.
Description
Limnanthes vinculans belongs to the genus Limnanthes in the family Limnanthaceae. The name 'vinculans' is derived from the Latin 'vinculum,' meaning 'a bond or cord,' reflecting its intermediate characteristics shared with L. douglasii and L. bakeri. This species is restricted to a small geographic range and is considered at risk due to habitat loss and limited distribution.
