Scilla verna, known as sea-onion, is a flowering plant native to Western Europe and Morocco. It is part of the genus Scilla and the family Asparagaceae. The plant produces star-like blue flowers from April to May.

Description

Scilla verna (Huds.), a member of the Asparagaceae family, is distributed across Portugal Continental, France, the Faroe Islands, Great Britain, Ireland, Morocco, Norway, and Spain. Commonly referred to as sea-onion, this species is characterized by its blue, star-shaped flowers that bloom in the spring. It was first described in 1778.
