Description

This orchid species is part of the genus Schoenorchis, which is known for its terrestrial and epiphytic growth forms. Schoenorchis fragrans is distributed across several Southeast Asian countries, including Assam, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was formally published in 1963 by Seidenf. & Smitinand, who recognized and named it based on earlier contributions by Parish & Rchb.f.
