Schinus uruguayensis is a species in the genus Schinus of the family Anacardiaceae. It was published in 2018 by Silva-Luz, with the original authorship attributed to F.A. Barkley. The species is native to parts of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.

Description

Schinus uruguayensis belongs to the Anacardiaceae family, commonly known as the cashew or sumac family. It is distributed across the northeastern region of Argentina, the southern part of Brazil, and Uruguay. The species was formally described in 2018 by Silva-Luz, based on earlier work by F.A. Barkley. It is one of several species within the Schinus genus, which includes economically and ecologically significant plants. This species contributes to the biodiversity of the South American regions where it occurs.
