Helenium vernale, known as savannah sneezeweed, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to the southeastern United States, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The species was first described in 1788 by Walter.
