Lasjia grandis is a forest tree in the Proteaceae family, known as satin silky-oak. It is native to north-eastern Queensland, Australia, and is classified as Vulnerable under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992.

Description

Lasjia grandis, also referred to as Barong nut, is a species of tree found in the Proteaceae family. It is endemic to north-eastern Queensland and is recognized as Vulnerable under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992. The species was formally described in 2008 by P.H. Weston and A.R. Mast, based on earlier work by C.L. Gross and B. Hyland.
