Description

Picea brachytyla (Franch.) Pritz., commonly called Sargent spruce, is a member of the Pinaceae family. It is distributed across China, including North-Central and South-Central regions, as well as in Myanmar and Arunachal Pradesh in India. There are reports of its possible occurrence in Bhutan. The species was first described in 1900. Habitat loss poses a significant threat to its survival.
