Sarcophyte piriei is a species in the genus Sarcophyte, family Balanophoraceae. It was first described in 1914 by Hutch. and is native to several countries in eastern and southern Africa.

The species is distributed across Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It was first scientifically documented in 1914 by the botanist Hutch.
