Sarcoglottis sceptrodes is a species in the Orchidaceae family, native to several Central American and Mexican regions, including Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and various parts of Mexico. It was first described in 1920 by Schltr., with the original name attributed to Rchb.f.

Description

This orchid species is documented in Honduras through the voucher specimen collected by S. Blackmore & G. L. A. Heath, cataloged as number 1831 in the BM and MO herbaria. Its distribution spans a wide range of Central American countries and multiple regions within Mexico, indicating a broad but localized presence in the Neotropics.
