Sarcococca confusa, known as sweet box, is an evergreen shrub in the Buxaceae family. Native to western China, it was described by Sealy in 1949. The plant grows up to 2 m tall and 1 m wide, with glossy green ovate leaves. It produces honey-scented white flowers during winter and glossy black spherical fruits, 5 mm in diameter.

Description

Sarcococca confusa is a shrub native to South-Central China. It belongs to the Buxaceae family and is part of the Sarcococca genus. This species is characterized by its glossy green leaves and winter-blooming white flowers with a honey scent. Following the flowers, it bears small, glossy black fruits. The plant typically reaches a height of 2 m and a width of 1 m. It was first described by Sealy in 1949.
